One UFO sighting after another proves false. He has to beg for money to keep his space-exploration magazine afloat. There are no messages in the TV static. Nevertheless, aging Tang Zhijun continues to believe in alien life forms and heads to mountainous southwest China to investigate after watching a mysterious online video. He is accompanied by a drunk, a girl with insomnia, and a cynical staffer. When they meet a young poet in a village who says he received instructions from aliens, they decide to follow him and embark on a journey. This Journey to the West is not a story about the Monkey King, but an ordinary man's continuous pursuit of UFOs and the human condition of chasing faded love.

There are many things to worry about lately. Yukichi finds Yume in a box with an abandoned kitten. There's a flyer about a suspicious man who has been assaulting women at night in the neighborhood and Saku always comes home late…

Saku's coworkers bring up marriage, putting Saku into a panic. Would she be able to get married to someone while having Yukichi by her side?! What if the other person found out about his masterful skills? Her cat is too talented for her to get married!

As the days get cooler, Saku wants to pull out their kotatsu. However, she had forgotten theirs had to be thrown out due to certain events. Later, Saku's mother starts bothering her for pictures of Yukichi which causes a great photography dilemma.

Saku and Yukichi receive invitations to Yume's birthday party. Yukichi convinces Saku that it'll be completely fine to attend since it'll be a costume party. However, will Saku and Yukichi really be able to fool all the parents and children there?!

The day of the aquarium event finally arrives! Saku keeps telling Yukichi that it's not a date, but he seems to keep misunderstanding? Either way, she heads over to the aquarium and finds that Chief Orizuka has a little surprise with him!

Yukichi is depressed again today, thinking about all the problems with his owner, Saku. How can an adult human who can't even separate trash make it through life? Doing this and that, Yukichi takes care of Saku's daily life.

Jules releases Travis from mandatory family night, but when he stays away too long, she becomes crazed. Ellie discovers she can get Andy to do anything she wants by training him like a dog. And the guys grow mustaches to look cool like Tom Selleck.

It's the first week of marriage for Grayson and Jules, but when Grayson doesn't know the rules, he soon becomes Jules' "coffee and wine bitch." After Travis' 21st birthday, Bobby tries to make up for lost time by teaching him lessons about being a man. And Ellie and Laurie try to pull Jules out of her depression when Grayson refuses to apologize for what he did in her dream.

On that snowy night, Yukichi decided he would take care of the woman who saved him. Little did he know what he was getting himself into. Now, since Saku is freaking out that her superior might've met Yukichi in person, Yukichi silences her with alcohol.
